Refund Policy

At Beyond Guidebook, we understand that plans can change. This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which you may receive a refund, your rights under Australian Consumer Law, and how to request one.


1. Standard Cancellation Refunds

Cancellations by You:

  • More than 7 days before the tour: Full refund (minus any applicable third-party booking or payment processing fees).

  • Between 7 and 2 days before the tour: 50% refund.

  • Less than 48 hours before the tour or no-shows: No refund.

Cancellations by Beyond Guidebook:

  • If we cancel due to unsafe weather, illness, insufficient numbers, or other unforeseen circumstances, you’ll receive:

    • A full refund, or

    • The option to reschedule your tour.


2. Refunds for Force Majeure or Unforeseen Circumstances

In the event of natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other extraordinary circumstances beyond your or our control, we will work with you to:

  • Reschedule the tour where possible, or

  • Offer a partial or full refund depending on the situation.


3. Changes to Bookings

  • If you wish to reschedule your booking, we’ll do our best to accommodate you if notice is given at least 48 hours prior to the tour.

  • Changes made less than 48 hours before a tour may be treated as a cancellation, depending on operational constraints.


4. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method.

  • Please allow 5–10 business days for the funds to appear, depending on your financial institution.

  • We cannot issue cash refunds.


5. No Refunds Will Be Given For:

  • Late arrival or missed tours

  • Unfavourable weather conditions where the tour still operates safely

  • Dissatisfaction based on personal preference or change of mind

  • Disruptive behaviour leading to removal from a tour


6. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for major failures, and compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.


7. How to Request a Refund

Please email hello@beyondguidebook.com.au with your:

  • Full name

  • Booking reference

  • Date of tour

  • Reason for requesting a refund


We aim to respond to all refund enquiries within 3 business days.
