Effective Date: 29 May 2025
At Beyond Guidebook, we are committed to providing safe, respectful, and meaningful travel experiences. This Travel Policy outlines our standards for health, safety, environmental care, and participant conduct across all tours and guided activities.
1. Health & Safety
All guests must follow the safety instructions provided by guides at all times.
Please disclose any relevant medical conditions, allergies, or mobility issues when booking so we can prepare accordingly.
You are responsible for ensuring your own physical capability to participate in activities such as hiking, walking, or outdoor excursions.
We recommend you carry your own travel insurance, covering personal injury, illness, cancellations, and lost or stolen property.
2. Weather & Conditions
Our tours run in a variety of weather conditions. Please dress appropriately and bring layers, waterproof gear, or sun protection as needed.
Tours may be modified, delayed, or cancelled in the event of severe weather or unsafe conditions. Safety is always our top priority.
3. Responsible Travel & Sustainability
We are proud partners of the NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service Parks Eco Pass program and are committed to leaving no trace. Please help us by:
Staying on marked trails and respecting local flora and fauna
Avoiding littering—carry out what you carry in
Using eco-friendly products where possible
Respecting local communities and Indigenous cultural sites
4. Behaviour & Participation
To ensure an enjoyable experience for all:
Treat fellow travellers, guides, wildlife, and communities with respect
Follow instructions and maintain group cohesion
Disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behaviour may result in your removal from the tour without refund
5. Alcohol & Substance Use
Unless otherwise stated, consumption of alcohol or illicit substances is not permitted during tours or activities.
Intoxicated individuals may be refused participation in a tour without refund for safety reasons.
6. Wildlife & Cultural Sensitivity
Our tours may visit areas with native wildlife or culturally significant sites. Always follow the guidance of your tour leader regarding appropriate behaviour.
Never attempt to feed or approach wild animals.
7. Photography & Devices
Feel free to take photos, but always respect the privacy of others.
Drones and recording devices may be restricted in some locations—please ask before use.
8. Emergencies & Incident Response
In the event of a medical or environmental emergency, our guides are trained in first aid and will take necessary action, including contacting emergency services if required.
Participants must follow all instructions during emergency situations.
9. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers:
Medical expenses
Cancellation or interruption of tour
Loss or damage to personal belongings
